Week Two Round-Up

Even still new people are discovering the odd things happening at the Hanso website and a lot of those people are making their way here.

If you've been keeping up, this will be very redundant for you.  But if you're just checking in sporadically, check this entry out.  If you're literally JUST joining us, you might want to check out my Week One Round-Up.

All caught up?  Good.

Now on to week two:

The second week started off relatively slow.  Persephone seemed to be keeping a low profile while THF started an anti-Gary Troup campaign.  Though, as many people seem to be pointing out, THF seems to be overreacting.  Perhaps, as some have theorized, their target isn't Bad Twin, but Gary Troup himself.  If he is discredited, no one will ever wonder about his non-fiction effort, The Valenzetti Equation.

But that's all speculation, of course.

Then, after a few days of press-releases, we got something kinda big.

DJ Dan.

Djdan_1 His URL was hidden in the source code of the HF website.  It was obviously a message intended for those of us following the goings on of THF closely, but who was it from?  It wasn't signed, so it could be from anyone.

Does Persephone know DJ Dan is on to something?  Did she point us there intentionally to help us out?  Or is this the HF's way of throwing us off?  Do they know Dan's messages are just conspiracies with no proof?  Are they linking us there to counteract the damage done by P?

There's no way to know without keeping an eye on it.  Either way, his crackpot theories about Idaho being a hoax are fun to listen to.

Then parts 4, 5, and 6 of the Gary Troup interviews showed up at different book sellers.   He speaks more on Valenzetti and even a little on Cindy.  I don't have the links on me, so check out a few on-line book shops, they're not that hard to find.

And then there was yesterday.  P came back with a vengeance.  Not only did she give us a new clue, but she got some mighty fine video and documents.

Coords She's also getting more roundabout with how to find her messages.  I guess THF was starting to figure out some of her secrets.  This time you had to go to the "Electromagnetic Research Initiative" page under "Active Projects."  There's a picture with coordinates.  As you move your mouse, the coordinates change.  Under the picture are more coordinates.  Make the changing coordinates match those and click.  The screen will become funky.  Click again and you'll be whisked away to:

www.letyourcompassguideyou.com

Compass When you see the compass, click just to the right of "108."  You'll be taken to a list of directories with TONS of stuff.  There are two ways to find the password.  One is a binary code in Peter Thompson's inbox, the other is on a picture.  Look for Buddha.

After all this, go back to the HF site and plug in "the mouth piece" into the new password box of Hugh McIntyre's Executive Bio.  Then click on "devoted to family values."  Then just watch P's magic.

Her latest info seem s a bit "tabloid" to me, but I'm sure it's important.

Coords_1 I'm just not sure WHY yet.

That's it for week two.  Hopefully we'll get a new message from P soon.

My UK and AU pals and I are doing our best to keep up with this, so keep an eye on us.

And thanks to everyone for the e-mails and comments.  They ARE much appreciated.  And yours may just show up in an entry if you're not careful. ;)

Until next time.

Good day, whilst hopping as I do, from ABC to C4 in the UK, it's become clear, the UK end is keeping up fairly well with your good selves...
I presume as originally indicated, we in the UK will have to work with other parts to move forward. Do you think this is happening already, or are we all still trying to go it alone?

What is the password for the board of directors page on THF website. It has new pictures of different people and asks for a login..

I tried to post once already... I swear to God, I've got to about twenty different Lost Experience sites to try and figure out what I'm doing wrong, because last night there was no login box for Hugh at all, and therefore no place to put the password. I got in through the ahanso section, I typed in the link manually. No dice. Today there is finally a login box, but "the mouthpiece", "the mouth piece", and "themouthpiece" don't work. Does it have a problem with AOL users?

Some ISPs cache remotely, and they sometimes don't clear their cache till the next day. Sadly, this is affecting a lot of people.

So, what all shall I clear? Cookies? Temporary Internet Files? Guide me, O Speaker :) I just want to see the freakin' video on my own :)

Cache and MAYBE cookies - but I think it has to do with Cache.

The bad part is - if you ISP is caching, THEY'll have to clear THIER cache.

If you clear you cache, then clear cookies, then start at the begining of the ARG again you should be able to go through with it, This has helped a lot of people. Also, the site is VERY slow so dont get pissed, you just have to WAIT FOR IT TO LOAD!!!!

I would also like to know the user and password for the board of directors?

Not that it really matters, as we've all found the most recent clue anyway, but the Hanso RSS feed has finally been updated. With that and the ability to scroll, I think we can soon look forward to a THF site free of extraneous bugs. Anything odd will have to be a clue.

I never realized I liked Lost enough to go through all this hullaballoo.

*shakes head in awe*

Thanks for the help :) Hopefully clearing my own will do SOMETHING because otherwise my brain might explode.

You should be able to enter the password "the mouthpiece" after logging in at the newsletter section. I had to do that in order for the login to work. Apparently Persephone only wants returnees to be able to find out about Hugh, so after clearing out your cache and cookies, go in and use the "breaking strain" password, then you should be able to do it.
cheers.

Just to clarify, use breaking strain at the newsletter page

Wait, do I see a code on the compass page, lower right corner of the wheel, saying something like "DI9FFR751" before you click 108, or am I just seeing things? To unlock something at the main site? A password maybe?

Also, does the login in the lower corner of each page mean anything?

I still think that we've now seen Persephone.

Clearing the cache WORKED. Thank you, o beautiful Speaker and t-minus!!!!

*sends love*

Geez, the catastrophe moves on. I finally get the text to highlight after clearing the cache, and then clicking on it crashed my computer. For the love of God, I just want to see the video!!!! *cries*

Remie - Text highlighted? What section of the site are you referring to? I'm so behind!!! I read the roundups and I finally got some things to work, but I'm missing a bunch of stuff! HELP!

where do I put the binary code from Thompsons email on the Hanso website?

clair's baby- You can decode it using the link on the same page. It takes you to google.

Paul,

***If you don't want it all spelled out, don't read this***

Play around with letyourcompassguideyou for a while, and just read the stuff. You can access for Hugh and Peter, if I remember correctly. Read their mail. Watch the YouTube video. Then go back to the parent directory and click on ahanso, which takes you back to the Hanso Foundation site. MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOUR BROWSER CACHE IS CLEARED or you'll be sitting there for hours in frustration.

Then go to Hugh's bio and put "The Mouthpiece" into his little login box. This highlights the part of his bio about loving his family, and clicking on it should take you to a video or something, I actually have no idea because every time I click it crashes AOL. I guess this is the end of the Lost Experience for me, since it's no longer compatible with my computer.

Hope that helps you.

Remie - Thanks for the info. Do you also have Internet Explorer? If so try using that instead of AOL. Hope that works for you.

Or maybe it's just crashing because of overload on the site. A bunch of sections are telling me unavailable. Must be too many people. Perhaps the same is happening to you since that's the newest clue?

Yea, just because AOL is your ISP doesn't mean you can't use IE or Firefox.

Right on PAul! I saw the videos! It worked. Thanks, everyone, this collective effort has been helpful.

So, the next piece of advice: If you have AOL 9.0 Optimized, don't use it to do this stage of the puzzle!
