I've been thinking.

Once upon a time there was a woman who claimed she could commune with the dead.  She was married to an aerospace engineer and together they had several kids.  At one point, she worked for a district attorney and helped with many cases.

This is, of course, the premise to a television show on some other network.  But, it's also true.  The woman exists and she has the same name in real life as she does on the show.

There are pictures of the real live woman standing with the actress who plays her.  Does this confuse people?  Not at all.  Basing movies and television shows on reality is not uncommon.  We get programs that perform "real life events" for us constantly.

Which brings me to my point.  Because Oceanic flight 815 actually crashed, many people assumed that the television show "LOST" was recounting actual events.  I had always  had my doubts because . . . how could the creators KNOW what actually happened to that plane?

Then, Hugh made his infamous appearance on Jimmy Kimmel and claimed that "LOST" was fictional.  He actually went out of his way to make the claim.  The way he addressed it made me very suspicious.  I started wondering if maybe the writers of the program knew more than I gave them credit for.

Perhaps the plane DID crash on an island and perhaps the mysterious things that take place on the show are based on "actual events."  What better way to throw people off your trail than claim that the show which is exposing your secrets  is but a work of "fiction?"  The writers can't really respond now, can they?

Not without revealing their sources.

Many people took Hugh's words as fact even though he lied with almost every other breath he took on that broadcast.  Me, I'm more and more convinced that "LOST" is, in fact, real.

If I'm right, this makes what P is doing even MORE important.  Keep finding those clues, friends, and I'll keep trying to help.

Until next time.

You scare me...

First?

Maybe a clue coming on the Oceanic Air website?

wow, that is way too much for a sunday morning. really good theory though

*SPEAKER NOTE: people wanted stuff on weekends ;)*

hurley, oceanic air is thought by most to not be in game

I hope you're right.

That would be awesome, but I just can't believe it's true. It's hard to know whether Speaker is just a writer saying these things just to get publicity, in effect playing a role, or if he actually thinks Lost to be real. I think it's the former most likely, since he has proven in the past to be playing a role, stating that the Hanso Foundation is real. Still, this makes for interesting reading and enhances the Lost Experience, in my opinion.

If it's not in-game, why is it linked to on the right? Oceanic-Air.com is in game

simply sites about lost, would not say that they have to be in game, i am basing on the sites being linked from THF.

Has anyone solved the banner for Oceanic-Air? THere are two strange things going on in the banner, one with a random boat in the ocean, and the other with a huge tree flying off the island. Any thoughts?

It's an official ABC site, guess we'll just have to wait to see if it yields a clue.

Speaker said exactly what I was thinking. Of course Hugh would say Lost was fictional. Why should we believe him? There are connections between the two - Marvin Candle photos, clues from the Hatch map...

Ok..everyone needs to think like a writer...Base the whole premise of a story on something factual but enhance the story so that it's more interesting for us...The Public...but now I think that Speaker has gone off the deep end!!! Plus I also think that Speaker can be anyone from the crew...That's why there is no password or login registration. Anyone can post as speaker...JJ, Javi,Adam, Allison, Burky, Carlton, Cristina, Craig, Didi, dkny, Drew, Eddy, Gregg, Leo, Liz, Raggs, Steve, Damon the Man...anyone that can edit a post here...

I'd never looked too far into the oceanic-air site before...just went to "Island Insider" section. Click here every week to test your knowledge, then you get added to an email list. Anyone done this...what kind of email do you get?

Perhaps...

No..

It..

I don't believe it.

just went to the oceanic-air site; had seen this message posted in blogs before: I survived a horrific plane crash and am stranded on an island somewhere Northeast of Australia and Southwest of Hawaii. In the event that I am never found, please forward word of my fate to my parents.

Under that yellow box is another message:please get word I'm alive and stranded on an island somewhere in the South Pacific. Please send help soon. Things are bad. And.." Actually, the first time I copied that second message it said something different. Check it out.

Ac

Too little to do? I can barely scratch the surface of everyone's research! Props to technoprep for his links at the bottom of the last page. That is very fascinating stuff
I think Speaker is telling us to become involved in this experience, be a part of it, and not just sit back and wait for puzzles to solve.

Underlaid text from the oceanic-air.com site.

New or not?

"If anyone should find this message, please get word I'm alive and stranded on an island somewhere in the South Pacific. Please send help soon. Things are bad. And they're getting worse..."

Apologies if it is old.....

Thoughts from the blog.

I suggest maybe looking on the actual 'Lost' site. (Referred to directly several times in the blog.)

oceanicflight815.com

Focus on pictures of cast members, etc.

Writers trying to get the 'true' story out would use that site, too.

Happy hunting.

...or work the story line from semi-factual history....Like mythology or the history of ancient civilizations...and the creation of man. We are one...humanity started from somewhere. There are references to Adam and Eve, Greek mythology, Yin Yang, Dharma (and Dharmapala.. google that one! It's VERY interesting)etc...all cultures.

Hey,Speaker...I'll ask the same questions again, but here instead of an im...just for you to confirm or deny any connection:

"me: Hi, Speaker....just wondering if you know about the Dharma protector - DharmaPala? Or the Six-Armed Mahakala? Or Yama, Yamantaka, Hayagriva, Kubera, Palden, Lhamo, Changpa or Begtse?..."

and a couple of really old questions:

"> Are the numbers the coordinates?…Search for 4.815 162.342 on Google Earth. It ends up in the Devil’s Sea Triangle (similar to the Bermuda Triangle.) See the Vile Vortex at http://www.deepinfo.com/WorldGrid.htm - near Kosrae…it looks very similar to our LOST Island. (See http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/australia/kosrae_soil_1981.jpg)."

These questions have to do with the LOST island of MU or Lemuria that sank between 10,000 and 71,000 years ago!!!! This island was legended to REALLY be the cradle of civilization that spawned most mythology and religions: Buddhism, Hinduism, Shintoism (the gate looks very similar to their Torii monuments), Judaism, (much later but also Christianity,) etc...maybe even Taoism (can't wait to discuss that one!!!)

;)

P.S. the line...

'If anyone should find this message, please get word I'm alive and stranded on an island somewhere in the South Pacific. Please send help soon. Things are bad. And they're getting worse...'

Is followed by.... 'Sally'.

Tres...thanks for the props..

did you say "his links"...sorry to dissapoint...I'm a "her". Hope that doesn't neg impact our relationship!

lol

does anyone remember what date the plane crashed?

9/22...but not sure of the year..The ASSUMPTION is that it was 2004 but 2009 and other years have been referenced...

LOL. My apologies for the gender reassignment and appreciate that you didn't take offense. I consider us kindred spirits. I'm a she, too.

I think the date of the plane crash is clear because the publisher of Hyperion Books said Gary Troup's plane was lost in flight in September 2004.
