Week Five Round-Up
Geez, is there something in the water? Come on peeps, work with me here. That's the first time I had to close down comments. Please do not post as other people even if, I repeat, EVEN IF they annoyed you first. I have to clean that up too and it just wrecks other conversations. I can't be here 24/7. So here are some IMPORTANT words to remember:
Ignore the boar.
If someone comes in all boarish and tries to ruin your fun, act like they're not there. Be the bigger person. Don't let them drag you into their game.
Though, I can have a sense of humor about this whole situation. I mean, I did have to SHUTDOWN the comments on the SHUTDOWN thread. That's worth at least a laugh, right? ;)
That said, thank you all VERY much for the birthday wishes! You all rock, even the boars.
But now on to business. It's Thursday, which means it's time for me to point those of you who are new (who we affectionately refer to as "n00bs") to my previous Round-Ups.
So, if you're literally JUST joining us, you're going to want to check out my Week One Round-Up, my Week Two Round-Up, my Week Three Round-Up, and of course, my Week Four Round-Up.
All caught up? Good.
If you've been keeping up, this may be a bit redundant. But if you're behind AT ALL, this is the entry for you. Click below for Week Five:
The week began pretty cool with some action from the Lost Ninja. I helped, a little. I pretty much already went over all this, so if you're interested, check out the orignal entry.
Then it was my turn to make some rumblings with my controversial thoughts about whether or not LOST might be based on actual events. (I'm still getting e-mails about that one and I will probably CONTINUE to get e-mails about it until I'm well into my golden years.)
Time went by, and some began to wonder if P had forgotten about us or gotten captured. Just when some devoted followers were about to storm the Hanso Foundation ("Have fun stormin' the castle!") to rescue her, she left us a message. It was simple, but it was something. A countdown clock showed up on the "Genomic Advancement" page. P said she needed more time and it was assumed, that the clock represented that time.
But that wasn't the only thing we got that night. Just a few short hours later there was a commercial during Boston Legal for the Retrievers of Truthiness. RoT is a double sided site that's about psychic Labrador Retrievers on the surface, but something completely different when you dig a little deeper.
There's a place to sign-up for a newsletter. When you give the site your e-mail address, a story soon appears in your in-box. The story mentions a "dapper young porter." This is important because typing the word "porter" in the newsletter sign-up field takes you to the site underneath the site - to the good stuff.
It's now not about Labrador Retrievers, but people who are out to retrieve the truth. It's a message board with ALL KINDS of interesting stuff on it. It was assumed that THIS would be the place that P would hide the password to her latest hack when the clock ran out.
Parthenogenesis.
It means the growth and development of an embryo or seed without fertilization by a male. It was also a hot topic on the message board section of RoT. And when the clock ran down, it was the password.
The text box on the "Genomic Advancement" page is invisible. You have to either click JUST right, or use your TAB key until you find the cursor. Type the password, hit enter, and watch as we get just a glimpse of DHARMA. (And my thoughts from earlier about the TV show LOST are starting to feel a little more solid.)
And that brings us to today. This morning I woke up to a new DJ Dan podcast. And boy was it a doozy. Not only did it tie in with P's hack, but Dan the Man himself got threatened.
I know he HAS to move around from location to location for his own safety (if he is indeed still safe!), but all that moving around day after day can't be good for his mental health. I'm just saying, I think the man needs a vacation.
Well that's it for Week Five, boys and girls. Here's hoping Week Six is a good week for P.
Until next time.

Happy Birthday Speaker!

Great roundup of the week's events. I find it interesting that upon looking at the screencap of the shark's injury it looks like vinyl skin and not organic. And this week was all about sharks. I might have to watch JAWS this weekend.

or not :(
Posted by: jeremey | June 08, 2006 at 06:27 PM
So, what do y'all think is under that shark skin? Just doesnt look right.
Posted by: salad | June 08, 2006 at 06:28 PM
salad: agreed it doesn't look right at all... robot sharks? :)

Happy Birthday Speaker :-)! I hope you had a good day aside from all the board issues.

I think it could be a bullet from Michael who shot the shark on the show who also had a Dharma symbol

Leighsa: this weekend while you're at it, maybe Sharky's Machine?(harhar)

Freaking asexually reproducing sharks... What's next? They get Lasers on their heads?
Posted by: IamTotallyLost | June 08, 2006 at 06:33 PM
Speaker when you said "that moving around day after day can't be good for his mental health" could DJ Dan be planing a vacation to Vik Iceland?
Posted by: Eddie Dean | June 08, 2006 at 06:36 PM
f some f: I might have to rewatch the mythbusters shark show as well... :)
Posted by: Leighsa | June 08, 2006 at 06:37 PM
or perhaps already there?
Posted by: Eddie Dean | June 08, 2006 at 06:39 PM
turn the monitor 7deg to the left and stand back 5feet - you eill clearly the image of a labrador in the sharks would - this is a hack from the RoT team - is P on the RoT team?
THe vinyl skin - go look for other shark pages - i found a few with similar damage - and oddly enough - a real sharks skin will appear like vinyl when left to rot.
theres a connection rot RoT

some observations about dj dan from the last TROLL post.
THF recieves VIP account from Jeep feb25 2006, then Pthompson signs VIP paper Feb26 2006, then Jeep rescinds the offer Mar 10,2006.
Dj dan doesnt get his jeep until after may16,2006 - there is no way THF gave DjDan a jeep - THEY DIDNT FRIGGIN HAVE ANY !!!
Jeep gave DjDan the Jeep for advertising.

f some f, re:dsP, ya, but then what about the children? Cindy? Claire?
point taken! ok a long shot, the children are a double edged sword of sorts, because the believe/blind faith - but they can also see the Truth (and I don't know how this could fit in- a feeling)... but I really should go now.
