LOST: Inside The Experience

We need to talk...

I know, I know.  Any conversation that starts out that way CAN'T be good.  That, coupled with the fact that today's our first LOSTless Wednesday makes it sound even worse!

The fact is - there's nothing to talk about right now.  This blog started over a year ago and went all summer during TLE.  And as soon as it was over, we got a brand new season of LOST.  Now, with LOST on its longest hiatus yet and no word of a new ARG...

*watches  tumbleweed roll by*

Yeah, the tumbleweed said it better than I ever could.

I don't want you to stop watching the blog.  Because if a miracle happens and a new ARG pops up, or... ANYTHING interesting happens in the LOST realm, I will post here.  I don't expect you to watch it every day, of course.  Subscribe to the feed if you can.  It'll warn you as soon as something happens.

You've seen my other podcasts, but these are different.  You see, these aren't MINE.  They are the Dinis'.  That's as in Paul Dini, once writer of LOST now writer of BATMAN - DETECTIVE COMICS, and Misty Lee Dini, magician extraordinaire!

I moderate their chat and read the fan questions.  They're a lot of fun and I think you'll enjoy them.

The first one is a SPOILER FILLED review of Spidey 3.

And the second one is a more traditional look into their lives/Fan Question one.

Hope you enjoy listening to them as much as I enjoyed making them.

One year ago today...

One year ago today a commercial for the Hanso Foundation aired in the UK.  The next day it aired in the US and Australia.  Two days later I made my first (omg so crappy!) entry on this very blog.

The LOST Experience had begun.

It started out with a phone number, a website, and a name: Persephone.  Over the next few weeks we were at Persephone's beck and call.  She said jump, we jumped.  She said hack, we hacked.  Communities started, friendships blossomed, "yo mamma" jokes flew.

Sure, there were mistakes.  Drama.  Falling outs.  People left the game forever.  Then came back.  Then left forever again before coming back, leaving, coming back, leaving once more, and finally returning before the end.  But through it all, we had fun.

We podcasted, blogged, chatted, argued, got kicked out of New York concerts, and manipulated photos together.   We hung out together.  But most of all... we SHUTDOWN the man together.

Fifty years from now I will remember Hugh McIntyre.  I will remember Rachel Blake in a pizza delivery outfit.  I will remember the iron.  I will remember Apollo.  I will remember those dreaded glyphs.  And I don't think I could ever forget DJ Dan.

I don't know if there will ever be a LOST Experience 2, but we'll always have the first one.

Happy anniversary LOST Experience.  And happy anniversary to all of you too.
