Morning all! Happy ZuDay.
Well, not sure what to say. Timeline was a little odd... Privious thread said it best to me, a Flash Sideways...
Not that there is anything wrong with it BUT they could have left out the Mr. & Mr. Friendly smooch...
Posted by: John - Not Locke | March 21, 2008 at 06:11 AM
well it's not like it was lip on lip and full tongue or anything like that.

I wouldn't call it a flash sideways. It was a flashback just like "Three Days" in Season 2 and "The Brig" in Season 3. Everything that we saw with Michael and Tom took place in the past.

So, who shot Dannielle and Karl?! I think Ben set it up personally. and I also think Danielle is not quite dead yet.

Of all the characters we know on Lost, Desmond and Sayid are the most likely to have been trained marksmen. Don't see how they could be candidates, though, without a different kind of time travel than we've seen so far.
Perhaps this was the work of the freighters. Lapidus did head out with the copter...maybe with some gun-toting freighter crew?
Maybe, but unlikely. Ben could have sent them into harms way knowing some trigger happy folks were there, but what a chance he would be taking with Alex's life! No, unless Michael is not the only spy (which I admit is a possibility) Ben would not have assumed only the people he wanted dead, would be.
So it must have been someone Ben can manipulate, which is most likely the Others at the Temple. If he time-loops similar to Desmond, then he could concievably have set up a trap knowing he'd be able to get the three in that place, at that time.
And what a Ben-like move, too. He not only eliminates Alex's adopted family (so to speak), he also places her in a position to find value in being his daughter. Sick, but sweet.

Had a feeling that would happen when Ben said "What wouldn't a man do for his son?" Can't believe how easily they all agreed to go as well..Ben isn't that convincing.

Sorry, but what the hell IS kimerikas?
Googling "kimerikas jane" gives 666 (yikes!) results, most or all of which seem to have been posted on March 20th or 21st.
Not Jane.

Andy/Speaker And All,
I just want to thank everyone who is still here, participating and (in Speakers case) sticking up for everyone here...
I know for some this is a great Holiday weekend but to everyone who stops by, I wish you peace, I wish you well, and I wish you good luck.

Gary - We know that the chopper left the boat again, and it appears there are less people on the boat now. I would believe that the boat has sent the military mercenaries to the island, since the Captain feels the science team has had time to disable the gas. He sent the mercs to kill everyone so that Widmore can take over the island.
Alex standing up and saying that she is Ben's daughter, then not getting shot is proof, to me anyway. They want Ben, but we still don't know why. It could be that Widmore does want the island, or it could be that Widmore just wants control of Ben. My guess is Ben is off the island in the FF, to try and get back to the island, and get rid of everyone who knows where it is, or what it is. The people Sayid is killing are in possesion of that knowledge.

so apparently after some searching around...the admitting nurse for Sun..has also been the executive story editor for about 20 episodes of Lost,
story editor for 22 episodes, writer for 7 episodes. and appeared in 2 of the episodes..the one of course being Ji Yeon, and apparently she showed up in the episode of "a tale of two cities" her name is Christina M. Kim. I came across this because about once a year I check this site over titled "themisfitishere" he's a guy that has been on the lost message boards before..and he comes up with these stupid nonsense ideas..but after a while, it became pretty apparent that he was making them stupid on purpose..after learning that..you can find some pretty funny stuff by him, but for the most part..his site is BS. that being said..upon checking it today...he had a picture on there of the guy that Sun had mistaken for Jin in the hospital, and then apparently a picture of the guy on the island admist all the losties. whether its a real pic or not I'm not sure, so I went to the IMDb website to see if I could find out who the actor was and see if he had appeared in any other episodes, and if so which ones...but I couldn't find him. but that brought me to Christina. not much of anything really, just thought it was kinda neat that she had been such a big part of the production of the show and had now had a very small part in it. just wondering how many other writers and editors have appeared.

Ok. Theory...Ben sent Alex to the "temple" to keep her safe. Ben told her that he had not told everyone about it because it was only for them. Danielle was not one of them, and Karl betrayed Ben by warning the Losties that the Others were coming for the women. Now ask yourself this...If Danielle has been alone on this island for 16-17 yrs, why did she not know about the "temple"?

katiegirl,
Same reason she supposedly didn't know about a lot of the island... She really DID. I think in future we will find out her and Ben were a little "closer" than we currently see them. She has a thing for "bug-eyed guys"

Didn't see this posted in the last thread, so here it is.
A pretty good site that aggregates a bunch of spoilers is DarkUFO, http://darkufo.blogspot.com
That's the main blog, the main spoilers are at http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com , and there are several other sub-sections, too. Warning, these spoilers are usually -really- spoilers. You may regret reading some of them, so use discretion.
