Octawhatsit?
I've been sorta... out of it recently. Things piled up, computer tried to die, got behind, had to catch up, and all the while this OGR thing going on...
Someone mind catching me up so I can start looking into this?

Ah Speaker,Let me clue you in abit::blushes and giggles::
Head over to http://www.octagonglobalrecruiting.com/,watch the vid and sign up. Then when you are at ComicCon(from Dark UFO's blog): "register to become a member of Dharma Initiative. Depending on how you do on the test you will be a Physicist, Chemist, or even a Workman."
So curious where your talents lie,Speaker. Sure there will be others along soon with more info for ya.:-)

Speaker, I guess we all assumed you would be our fearless leader again?

THANKS!
I might just be that John, but first I have to catch up LMAO

According to what I've heard, those of us unable to attend comic-con in San diego will be opened up to the arg following the close of comic-con. So we'll just have to wait and live vicariously thru the attendees and be very very jealous. lol
In the source code og the OGR site was a cryptice msg...March has 32 days. When googled, refers you to a comic at this site:
www.mysterytales40.com
oh and welcome back speaker.
and third lol

Speaker, the followup email we got a week ago said, "For those not able to join us in San Diego, Dharma's full recruitment program will be made available online to registered recruits after July 27th." Luckily, there isn't that much to catch up on yet except for wild speculation.

Speaker...you have been busy!
The only thing I can add is do you know who Hans Van Eeghen is? Hans Van Eeghen was cc'd on our registration email and must be related to the Dharma Initiative. Some say that hans van eeghen is an anagram but I don't think so. What do you say?
PS...the oddities about the name is that Henk Van Eeghen is an EDITOR on LOST. Also, someone found that the surname Van Eeghen is in some way linked in heritage to the surname De Groot!!! ...linkage is here http://tinyurl.com/6m7mh2

Oh, and there are some crazy glyph things in the Octagon logo...
Posted by: Nat | June 26, 2008 at 04:16 PM
Jeez, seeing all these mysteries written together like that...I can't take the suspense any more!!
Posted by: Nat | June 26, 2008 at 04:17 PM
One more thing - when you email Mr Van Eeghen, his auto reply states that he is "currently on assignment in the field" and will "contact you as soon as I am back in the office".
Posted by: Nat | June 26, 2008 at 04:19 PM
speaking of glyphs, there were also glyphs by the Frozen Benry Donkey Wheel...not sure if related to OGR but still weird...
Posted by: technoprep | June 26, 2008 at 04:23 PM
...and on the OGR vid, there are a list of open volunteer positions...If you take the first letter of each, starting from the end, it spells DHARMA INITIATIVE EABEJNCHDBEBMPZPPM ...heck if I know what that last word is...lol

Also, if you email Van Eeghen you get an out of office response...
And then there's the whole - who the heck is Jeremy Bentham on facebook thing. Probably not in game, but still fun.
Posted by: Skirtz | June 26, 2008 at 07:16 PM
Skirtz, I just read technoprep's IM conversation with Jeremy Bentham on her blog (above three posts). You might want to read it, too. Fun techno!

"Familiar with all major players," eh? I wonder if that includes me. I'm still waiting and watching. Apparently the people going to Comic-Con will get to take their career test live, and the rest of us will have to wait for an online version, I suppose.
Posted by: Matt the Pale | June 26, 2008 at 11:36 PM
I'm actually rather looking forward to this test thing. If it's anything like DarkUFO described in the blurb on his front page, then I'm thinking it'll be similar to a career survey in which there will be a number of various important-sounding scientific job options. I'd be interested to know what kind of job they think I ought to be doing.
Though, knowing how I was last time, I couldn't imagine them saying anything better than a janitor. :) Or maybe the guy who has to feed the sharks...
Posted by: Matt the Pale | June 26, 2008 at 11:42 PM
Hi, Matt! I want to skew my test results so that I can drive one of the VW vans on the beach!LOL...Maybe I'll get the Architects position. That would be SWEET!
Anything would be better than the "Recycling Coordinator"...
Posted by: technoprep | June 27, 2008 at 12:01 AM
And Speaker, you spammed teh IO9 and got away with it! Awesomeness! :DD
Posted by: jimpbblmk | June 27, 2008 at 01:27 AM
MtP - If they gave you the shark feeding position, that would just mean they are hoping you will jump in. Although I doubt even the sharks would bite. ;)
Happy Zuday Everyone.

TGIF and Happy ZuDay....
Reading y'alls posts here and TechoPrep's blog(see above) are my daily buzz-bys. Yet if anyone else has a OGR blog I'll give it a go but...
No Anons need apply and Techno that was one sweet convo with "dark horse" Jeremy. Cyas...

"Lost" (Through The Looking Glass), ABC, Stephen Semel, Mark J. Goldman, Henk Van Eeghen, Christopher Nelson, A.C.E.
So there is a Henk Van Eeghen associated with Lost. Maybe just a shout out?
Posted by: Me | June 19, 2008 at 09:56 AM
PS. I should of put that Henk Van Eeghen was nominated for an Emmy for that epi of Lost.... (and won idk....)
Posted by: Me | June 27, 2008 at 03:51 AM
Happy Zuday. July is soon upon us!
Why are we feeding MtP to sharks?
I can't wait for comic-con, my head is going to explode.

Happy Zuday to everyone...
Speaker, I almost expected you to retort "But I'm Not Even In The Front"
Also - didn't realize you were the one who conducted the actual MiddleMan actors interviews. How awesome is that!
